Apparatus – Android App Review

Android AppDictions App Review

Apparatus is a fantastic physics based puzzle game in which you have to get a blue ball into a blue box using only the objects found on the level. A lot of touchscreen physics games have incredibly fiddly and irritating controls, but not Apparatus. No, this game makes it so easy to drag objects, rotate them simply by tapping & dragging the rotate icon, attach them to adjacent objects by hitting the attach button and place them in the background/foreground with the toggle in the upper-right.

Apparatus is packed with ingenious levels to figure out, some of which are incredibly mind-boggling. Throughout the game you will have to use apparatus such as wooden planks, balls, ropes, weights, wheels, wires, batteries and motors – to name just a few – all to help guide the blue ball to the goal; whether that be by catapulting it, making bridges or anything you can think of, Apparatus will have you hooked.

The graphics are brilliant, all 3D and the perspective (for background and foreground) is spot-on. There is a lite version of the game, but if you want full access to the great features like good ol’ sandbox mode, Apparatus is a must-buy and an all-round winner!

Android Description

Build a complex machine to perform a simple task.

Apparatus is a game about setting up simple mechanical structures to
move one or several marbles to the goal.

“A real life-sapper. Get into Apparatus at your peril – you will lose hours of your life!” – (Score: 9.5/10)

Connect cables from batteries to motors, build bridges, set up teeter totters,
swing with ropes, build vehicles, or just let the marble have a happy roller coaster
ride to the goal!

Use the hammer or the wrench to connect planks, wheels and other objects together.

Use the control panel to control your creations, be it a monster truck, a mechanical rifle or anything YOU can imagine!

Creativity is essential in the gameplay Apparatus. If you don’t have the patience to figure
out the challenge levels, why not just play around in the physics sandbox and build whatever
comes to mind? Upload and share your levels in the community section or download and
comment on other players’ levels.

The early levels will teach you how to play the game and go through some basic concepts.
The more you progress the more freedom the levels provide, many levels can
be solved in many different ways.

Every time you complete a level, you can go into freebuild mode and modify the level
however you like. If you make the level better, or just harder, you might want to
upload it to the community section and let other people play your modified level.
