There are a lot of games out there these days which involve launching projectiles to destroy buildings; especially due to the ever-popular Angry Birds title.

But let’s look back on one of the first castle destruction games, Crush the Castle. Starting it’s life as an online browser game, Crush the Castle had you firing your trebuchet at enemy castles with the aim – much like Angry Birds – of killing each of the medieval people situated at various points throughout the castle.

The graphics are nothing to shout about, but because this game is so fun, it wouldn’t matter if the visuals were terrible. It is a similar scenario with the sounds; there aren’t many in-game sounds but the ones which do exist give this game it’s signature feeling (more on that in a second).

As you progress through the game, you unlock different countries to crush and new projectiles to crush them with, such as rock clusters and bombs – which gives the game incredible playability and replay value.

Overall, this game is incredibly amusing, and we think that this is due to the fact that the enemies stand there looking proud and confident one minute, and the next they have a roof fall on their head or get sent flying up in the air. This, combined with the comical screams they make when they die, makes this game hilarious to play and we would recommend it over almost any game on the market, ever! (Even Angry Birds, believe it or not!)
