The US-Swedish based joint venture Happi Papi today announces Android and Amazon App Store versions for the US market of their acclaimed iPad game “Happi Reads”. The game has sold extremely well in Scandinavia and has been ranked as the #1 iOS Kids and Educational categories most of the summer.

Happi Reads is an educational game where kids can practice their beginning reading skills by reading everyday words and match them with pictures. The concept is both rewarding (you earn fruits that you get to eat after each level) and easy enough for your child to start playing on its own right away.

“Happi Reads was our first game. We had no idea it was going to be such a success” says Patrick Larson, co-founder of Happi Papi. “Recently, we have seen our app picked up by more and more schools as part of their digital reading training. We were supposed to release Happi Spells (the sequel to Happi Reads) on the iOS platform this week but felt we had to be fair to the Android and Kindle communities and release Happi Reads there first. Happi Spells will have to wait until next week,” concludes Patrick Larson.

Happi Papi is a US – Swedish joint venture created by Patrick Larsson and Jens Ode from WannaPlay, Europe’s first DVD-game Studio. We are two dads who believe it is possible to create quality apps for kids in a profitable way without the use of in-app ads, links and purchases. Our apps will always be free of tricks and gimmicks and will always be easy and rewarding to play. Happi Papi specializes in “Edutainment” apps for kids. When using our apps, children between the age of 2-7 will always learn something about the world around them in a safe and fun playing environment. Play and learn is our motto and what kids do best. All our apps will be localized by native speakers to, at least, the following languages: English, Swedish, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Danish and Norwegian.
