Mark My Words Lite is a question game for Android that tests how well you can identify quotes from historical and pop culture figures. Featuring over 800 quotes from different prominent figures of the past and now, this app will put your general knowledge skills to the test and determine whether you’re as smart you think.
Once the app has been installed on your device, you can start playing the game right away without the need to register for an account. The main menu has a very simple layout with three buttons which can be selected to start a new game, check your game stats and adjust the game’s settings.
When you a start a new game for the first time you are given a quick run through the different interface elements and their features in a mini tutorial video. The tutorial can be accessed anytime afterwards from the settings menu, but you probably won’t need to look at it again since the game instructions are fairly straightforward and easy to understand.
Basically your main objective is to choose the correct person from a list of four other options whenever a quote shows up in the box. You’re awarded points for every quote you guess correctly but can’t mess up more than three times otherwise you’ll have to start over again with a new set of quotes.
You’ll have to guess quotes from actors, musicians, philosophers, politicians, and several other influential figures in order to move on to the next round. There are also hints located below the options list which can only be used a maximum of four times during your round.
If you enjoy a challenge now and again or want a way to discover new quotes, this is definitely an app you should try out. Mark My Words Lite is free to download from Google Play and is compatible with Android devices with OS 2.2 and up.
